Recently, our families celebrated the baptism of my brother-in-law, Jonny, and my sister, Julie. Their baptism was an outward expression of their faith in Jesus Christ. We rejoice in the work God has begun in them and will continue to do. We pray for the salvation of all others in our families, those born and the children yet to be born.1 Peter 4:38-39
And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is for you and for your children and for all who are far off, everyone whom the Lord our God calls to himself.”
